This week I’m joined by Melissa Berry, the Cancer Fashionista. This is an honest and eye-opening interview about what it is like for those of us who have experienced breast cancer. We cover surgical and medical menopause, changes to our bodies, and what it was like to experience chemotherapy.

If you are battling, recovering from, or are in remission from cancer, this episode is chock full of advice and tips for you to feel and look your best. (It’s also great for people who are supporting others with cancer!) You can also watch the video version of this episode over at my YouTube channel – don’t forget to subscribe!

Key Quotes from the Episode:

“Going bathing suit shopping was never fun. It required a mimosa beforehand. But now it’s hard, because your body is different.”

“You just have to embrace [your body]. You have to work with what you have. Technology is great in the world of fashion. There are so many options out there.”

“Learn to accept where you are at each chapter and be patient with yourself.”

Melissa Berry is a 6 year Triple Negative Breast Cancer survivor, fashion/beauty publicist, founder of CancerFashionista.com as well as a professional speaker and breast cancer consultant. She has moderated and participated on various panels, addressed pharmaceutical leaders, and has been featured in numerous publications as a source of inspiration. Melissa is now offering corporate breast cancer workshops to organizations nationwide, a source of breast cancer education and inspiration for women across the country. Throughout her breast cancer journey, she struggled to look her best during this difficult chapter of her life. As a result of scouring the Internet for beauty tips, tricks, and great products, she created CancerFashionista.com, a go-to resource for other breast cancer patients and survivors.
